Terms of sale

The basis on which we sell. Plain language, no clauses designed to be unreadable — but these are the terms that apply to an order.

Order requests

Submitting the checkout form is a request to order, not a completed sale. A contract forms when we confirm your piece, the leather, the lead time, the delivery route and the final price in writing. No payment is taken at the point of request.

Prices

Prices are shown in US dollars and include the piece itself and threshold delivery. Room-of-choice and white-glove delivery, and any applicable duties or taxes outside the United States, are quoted separately before a contract forms.

Made to order

Pieces are produced after an order is confirmed. Lead times are estimates given in good faith; where production is delayed we tell you as soon as we know, and you may cancel without charge if the delay is substantial.

Materials and variation

Leather is a natural material. Grain, tone and markings vary between hides and within one hide. Photographs are representative. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a hide will match a screen exactly — swatches are supplied so this can be judged before production.

Dimensions

Dimensions are measured and published in inches, with centimetres converted from those figures. A tolerance of one inch applies to upholstered pieces. It is your responsibility to check access before ordering, and we will help you check it.

Cancellation, returns and faults

Cancellation, returns, faults and warranty are set out on the returns page, which forms part of these terms. Statutory rights are unaffected.

Liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, and nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law stated on your order confirmation, and disputes may be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction.
